Today, I was arrested simply for sitting with a group of ex-miners.. men who have given their strength and sweat to build our nation, yet have not received their full pensions since 2020.

I met with them not to make empty promises, but to listen. To assure them that their pain is seen, their frustration is understood and their voices will not be silenced.. aikona-man. I may not yet be in a position to single-handedly solve their problem, but I will never stop lending my voice to theirs and shining a light on the injustices they face.

 

Allow me to use this little viral moment to humbly ask our very capable government to look into this matter. Pantu these are not just names on a list.. Awe, they are our fathers, our neighbors and the hands that once powered our economy. They deserve dignity, they deserve justice and they deserve what they worked for.

 

I have since been released and I want to say thank you to every one of you who showed concern, who stood with me in spirit and who believes that leadership is about serving, not surrendering.
